A kiss for brave Paige

ON January 14 me, my daughter Sue and a friend, Emma, were in Asda at 5.10pm with Paige, my granddaughter who is terminally ill.

Paige needed her meds, which have to be given through a tube into her stomach.

While Sue, Paige’s mum, and Emma gave her the meds, I finished my shopping. As I passed them a lady, who I thought I knew, went up to Sue and Paige and asked if she could give Paige a kiss. As she walked away with tears in her eyes she said “I’ve a child like this”.

That was a special and beautiful moment. For someone to do that was overwhelming. I wish more people were like that and whoever the lady was, if you’re reading this, I’d like to say a very big thank you.

Also, if you would like to meet Paige with your child we would welcome you.
