Lifestyle brand and home builder Strata is continuing its sponsorship of Ackworth Juniors Football Club, supporting the Under 7’s for a second season.
As a grassroots club, with teams ranging from the Under 7’s to 16’s, it can only survive on charitable donations and the goodwill of volunteers.
Recognising that many of the club’s players live on or close to its Elegance development in Ackworth, Strata were quick to step in so that the boys and girls could continue to collect their silverware and trophies – in smart new attire.
Campaign Manager for Strata, Stephen Gillen, said: “When we were approached by the Head Teacher of Featherstone All Saints CofE Academy on behalf of the club, we were only too happy to help.”
“Football brings people together and that’s what Strata’s goal is with its developments – creating strong and happy communities.”
Matthew Jones, Head teacher at All Saints and Under 7’s coach, adds: “I was thrilled to hear that Strata was happy to continue its partnership with the club.”
“The new kits have injected a fresh level of enthusiasm into the Under 7’s team and I am delighted that such an established company is so keen to make a real difference to the families who live locally.”
Established in 1996, the club currently has 15 teams; 12 boys’ and three girls’ teams along with a section for four to six-year-olds.
Strata has a range of developments in Yorkshire and the East Midlands. For more details, please visit www.strata.co.uk.
