Adam raises cash for hospice in dad’s memory

Devoted son Adam Rhodes will take part in three marathons to help raise money for Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice in memory of his dad.

Mr Rhodes’ dad Jeff was cared for by the care facility after being diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2004.

Now Adam is taking part in marathons in South Africa and the UK to raise cash.

He said: “The care my dad received on both occasions he was in the hospice was outstanding and he was made to feel as comfortable as possible.

“The staff involved couldn’t have been more helpful.”

Mr Rhodes took part in the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon earlier this month and will also run in the Race to the Stones marathon near Oxford in July and the Equinox 24 at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire in September.
