Youngsters in Knottingley met alpacas, pigs, lambs and goats at a special farm event on the town’s Old Quarry Adventure Playground.

More than 250 children went along to the ‘Addy on Farm’ event on Wednesday, April 1.

Holly Corbett, centre development manager at the playground, said: “The event was free and funded through the Big Local Warwick Ahead, we worked with different local agencies and community groups on the estate to promote new and existing services.

“So much hard work goes into making these events special, we are grateful we have creative placement students from Leeds Beckett University who contribute and a great staff team with much valued volunteers.

“These events encourage communities to come outside and enjoy their local area, we love reaching out to the community and seeing so many happy faces.”
