Appeal to track Castleford man after failing to appear at court

Police have issued an appeal to trace a man who failed to attend court in relation to a burglary.

Alex Walmsley, 21, was due to appear at Bradford Crown Court in late November after being charged with a burglary in Brookfield Road, Bradford.

A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest and police have made numerous enquiries to trace him.

He was recently believed to be living in Castleford and has links to the Bradford and Wakefield areas.

He is about 6ft tall and of slim build with light brown short hair and speaks with a local accent.

He is not believed to pose a risk to the public, but anyone who knows of his whereabouts or who sees him is asked to contact police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, who can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555111.
