Are you doing something funny for money?

Comic Relief is back on Friday, March 13, and hundreds of children - and adults - are expected to don their red noses and take part in a variety of funny events.

Zookeepers at Doncaster’s Yorkshire Wildlife Park have already got into the spirit of the day by transforming into the wild animals they look after.

The staff had their faces painted with stripes, spots and patterns to turn themselves into a giraffe, tiger, monkey, lemur and meerkat.

Cheryl Williams, chief executive officer, said: “The faces of animals are admired for their individual patterns and colourings, so what better way to support the Red Nose Day campaign then having our very own animal keepers transforming their faces to match some of our favourite park residents.

“It has been brilliant fun making our faces funny and just shows how easy it is to get involved with Red Nose Day.”

We want everyone who is planning something to get in touch and submit their pictures. The best ones could be featured in the Express and we will try and include as many of your submitted pictures as possible.

Red Nose Day takes place every two years and the money donated will help people living tough lives across the UK and Africa.

The last event in 2013 raised a record £75m. Comic noses will be on sale throughout the city, including at Sainsbury’s and Asda Living in Trinity Walk and in the Ridings. Or pick up the official Red Nose Day t-shirt from TK Maxx
