Police say they have made a number of arrests in connection with recent allegations of disorder in The Square, Airedale.
A 27-year-old Pontefract man was arrested in connection with an alleged racially aggravated public order offence and an incident of criminal damage on Sunday, July 25.
He has now been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A local 16-year-old male has also been arrested and bailed for a separate offence of criminal damage on Tuesday, July 30 and another 16-year-old was also arrested in connection with the same offence.
Castleford neighbourhood policing team has increased patrols in The Square at key times and is supporting victims of the alleged offences.
Ch Insp Phill Wright of Wakefield District Police, said: “We have received reports of recent anti social incidents in this part of Airedale and will continue to work with local residents and partners to investigate and tackle these.
“A number of arrests have been made and officers have stepped up patrols at the relevant times.
“I would like to reassure residents that we are taking these allegations very seriously and will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.
