The baffling disappearance of Knottingley man who walked on his tiptoes

The family of a man who went missing 20 years ago are today set to make an emotional plea for information as they refuse to give up hope of finding him alive.

Mystery continues to surround the disappearance of Sean Alexander Thompson from his home in Knottingley on March 18, 1993.

Mr Thompson, who was 25 at the time, was conspicuous because of a medical condition that meant he constantly walked on tiptoes.

His monther, Jean Thompson, and sister, Ruth Thompson-Douglas, are due to hold a press conference at West Yorkshire Police’s headquarters in Wakefield to renew their calls for help alongside the detective who is now leading the case.

The press conference comes as police imaging experts are due to release pictures showing what Mr Thompson may look like today.
