Barratt Homes looks for good neighbours in Pontefract

Barratt Homes Yorkshire West has launched a campaign to find ‘Five Star Neighbours’ and is calling on the community in Pontefract to help.

The housebuilder is encouraging residents of the town to nominate their neighbours, or members of their local community, who they think go above and beyond, to be in with a chance of being crowned a ‘Five-Star Neighbour’.

The campaign was launched to mark Barratt Homes’ recent five-star rating in the HBF (Home Builders Federation) customer satisfaction survey, for the ninth year in a row. To celebrate this five-star rating, the housebuilder, which currently has its Ashmeade Park development in Pontefract, wants to recognise star quality in the areas in which it builds, and give back to its local communities.

Five winners will be awarded across South and West Yorkshire. Each winner will receive a £50 gift voucher and Barratt Homes will donate £100 to a local charity or community group of the winners’ choice.

Pontefract residents can nominate their neighbours or a member of their local community by emailing with their nomination’s full name, along with a reason for the nomination, until Friday, September 14. Entries from across the region will then be judged, with five winners selected to be crowned Barratt’s ‘Five Star Neighbours’ and awarded their prizes.

Sam Wood, sales director at Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, commented: “At Barratt Homes, we intend for our developments to become not only communities in themselves, but an extension of the communities already established in the area. We’re delighted to be classed as a five-star housebuilder and what better way to celebrate this than by finding and rewarding the region’s star neighbours? If you have a neighbour or know someone in your area worthy of the title, be sure to get your nomination in!”

Ashmeade Park is a collection of three and four bedroom homes priced from £139,995. For more information, visit
