Birthday celebrations as Dunkirk veteran marks 100 years
A Dunkirk veteran from Lofthouse will celebrate his 100th birthday on October 25.
Bernard Richardson is the last remaining member of the now disbanded Leeds Dunkirk Veterans Association. In 2016 the President of France awarded him the Rank of Chevalier in the Ordre national de la Legion d’honneur for his services during the war, with his regiment the Royal Artillery.
