Nicola Jordison refused to answer questions from Coroner David Hinchliff and the family’s solicitor Leslie Thomas QC.

Bobby and Christi’s mum Sharon Wood stormed out of the court after Mr Hinchliff read out lengthy statements given by Mrs Jordison to a Greek court in 2007 after she was accused of manslaughter by negligence.

In her statement, Mrs Jordison said: “My role was limited to customer service and at no point did it spread to health and safety.”

Mrs Wood stood up in the court, applauded and shouted “well done, you know a lot about gas.”

After he had finished reading the statement, Mr Hinchliff asked Mrs Jordison to confirm the statements read were hers and she said: “I decline to answer.”

She then refused to answer a series of questions put to her by family solicitor Mr Thomas.

The court heard Mrs Jordison carried out five safety audits of the bungalow the family stayed in before they arrived.

Mr Thomas said to her: “You had five clear opportunities before the family’s children went to this resort to bring to Thomas Cook’s attention that there was gas there, that their forms were wrong and had you brought it to Thomas Cook’s attention that gas was there, something could have been done. Do you agree?”

Mrs Jordison, who no longer works for the company, said: “I decline to answer.”

Mr Thomas later said: “My clients would like to know whether you want to apologise to them.”

She said: “I decline to answer.”

The inquest heard earlier in the week that Bobby, six, and Christi, seven,

Mrs Jordison was cleared of manslaughter in 2010.

The hearing continues.
