Bogus worker’s con plot foiled by pensioner

A bogus worker’s plot to con a pensioner out of money was foiled when she challenged him.

The man knocked on the door of a property on Rock Terrace, Castleford, at around 4pm on Wednesday, October 23.

He told the woman he could repair the roof of her home and took money from her before saying he needed to get some materials for the work.

The pensioner questioned him and demanded her money back before the man left.
