Boy in Newmillerdam tree terror
Firefighters were called out this morning to rescue a little boy who was stuck up a tree.
The crew, from Wakefield, were called to Newmillerdam at around 11.30am when the boy, believed to be around 10 or 11 years old, was stuck 10 feet in the air after climbing the tree.
After getting his foot stuck, the crew had to use specialist cutting equipment to free the boy from the tree.
A member of the crew said the boy was calm despite having been stuck for more than half an hour. He was eventually freed without any injuries.
