A dad has been found guilty of inflicting fatal injuries on his seven-week-old daughter.

The jury took less than two hours to convict Lee Davison, 29, on the charge of causing or allowing baby Krystal’s death last April.

Davison, of Ashleigh Avenue, Pontefract, remained impassive in the dock as the unanimous verdict was read out.

His co-accused, Jessica Hopkinson, 20, sobbed as she was cleared of the same charge following a four-week trial at Leeds Crown Court.

Davison faces a lengthy prison sentence for subjecting baby Krystal to a catastrophic catalogue of injuries, including brain damage, bleeding behind the eyes, and fractures to her ribs and legs.

He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in the coming weeks.See next week’s Express for more.
