BREAKING: Two arrests in Upton shooting

Two men have been arrested following a shooting in Upton.

Police were called to reports of a firearms incident near a field at Tom Wood Ash Close at around 5pm yesterday.

A 27-year-old man received non-life threatening injuries consistent with a shotgun wound and was transported by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.

A pair of males were arrested at the scene and are currently in custody.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
