Call to help little Ivy-Louise in cancer battle

A fun day will be held to raise money to pay for treatment for a toddler who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

Ivy-Louise Wilkinson, from Ackworth, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in January at just 13-months-old and recently underwent major surgery.

Her family are trying to raise £200,000 to travel to America for a special vaccine that clinical trials have shown can prevent a relapse from her condition.

The event will be held tomorrow (Saturday July 21) at Castleford Panthers rugby club on Raglan Close, Castleford, from noon-6pm.

The day will feature fun fair rides, tombola, and a raffle with prizes including a £500 voucher to spent at United Carpets.

There will be stalls and lots of fun events for children to take part in.
