Car fire on M1 motorway

A car caught fire after breaking down on the M1 motorway.

Firefighters were called to a Peugeot 307 on fire on the hard shoulder of the northbound carriageway near junction 40 for Ossett at around 1.20pm this afternoon (Wednesday).

Fire crews from Wakefield Fire Station attended the incident.
