Head coach Daryl Powell has praised Castleford Tigers star Luke Dorn ahead of the Australian’s final game in rugby league at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Sunday.
Dorn is retiring after a great career and will play his last game for Castleford against Widnes Vikings in the final Super 8s game of 2016.
Cas boss Powell admits his full-back will be missed next year.
He said: “Luke Dorn’s played a big part in our rise over the last few years.
“His quality attacking from full-back has been exceptional and he has fitted in to the way we play.
“We’ve got the best out of him and he’s got the best out of us and it’s just been great to have him a the club.
“He’s done a huge amount for us as a team, his leadership and his voice has been great.
“Obviously you have to adapt and have to move on. It won’t be the same without him because he’s got a specific way of doing things, but he’s been excellent.”
