A CASTLEFORD man and woman arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in Cleckheaton have been released without charge.
The 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were questioned by police after officers investigating the killing of Peter Brocklesby, 50, swooped on an address in the town at 12.10am on Sunday.
Mr Brocklesby, a former prisoner released from custody a month ago, was stabbed in the back after reportedly trying to break up an altercation on Brooklyn Street, Cleckheaton, in the early hours of Saturday.
A 19-year-old man from Ravensthorpe has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Dewsbury Magistrates’ Court today.
Two other people arrested in connection with the incident were also released without charge.
