Castleford Tigers stadium plan approved

CASTLEFORD TIGERS’ plans for a new multi-million pound stadium in Glass Houghton have been unanimously approved by councillors.

A Wakefield Council planning committee gave the Super League side permission to build a new 13,300-capacity facility near the Xscape leisure complex at a meeting this morning.

Richard Wright, Tigers’ chief executive, said: “Today is another significant milestone for Castleford Tigers.”
