Cat and kittens rescued from church
A family of cats has been rescued from a church in Castleford.
Firefighters from Castleford station were called to Airedale Methodist Church to free a cat and several kittens at around 7.45pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman said the animals were stuck in the cavity wall.
The crew removed bricks to reach them.
