Child cyclist in Kinsley bus collision

The 12-year-old was on her bike when the incident occurred shortly before 2pm close to the Royal British Legion.

She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance. Three passengers on the bus received minor injuries, with two people taken to Pinderfields Hospital for treatment.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance also attended the incident.

Wakefield Road is closed at the junction with Tombridge Crescent and traffic is being diverted through Carrgate and Gorton Street. Some bus services are delayed by up to 20 minutes.
