A concert will take place next week to raise money for Pontefract’s Prince of Wales Hospice.
Band Blues Armada will present a ‘Winter Musical Soiree’ in Womersley on Friday November 8 from 7.30pm.
The event will take place at the village hall, on Main Street.
The concert will be the sixth of its kind to raise money for the Halfpenny Lane-based hospice.
Tickets cost £12, including a light supper and bar.
Organiser Soo Beddow said: “This is the sixth year of my event for the hospice and it is usually a full house and raises a lot of money.
“At the moment I am on the verge of cancelling due to the low number of ticket sales, so I am hoping more people will come forward to support the event.”
For more information or to book tickets call Soo on 01977 674459. Tables of ten are available.
The hospice costs £2.2m per year to run and relies on charitable donations for most of this. It offers specialist care for those with life limiting illnesses.
