Appeal to find arsonists who tried to torch home with occupants still inside

Police are appealing to find two arsonists who torched the front door of a house in Knottingley while the occupants were inside.

Officers are this week asking for the public's help for the incident which happened at around 9pm on Saturday, October 17 last year, at a house on Windermere Drive on the Warwick Estate.

The residents were home at the time of the incident, but luckily no injuries were reported.

Enquiries have now identified two people, a man and a woman, that officers are keen to speak with.

The male suspect is described as white, late teens/early twenties, slim build, 5ft 7" to 5ft 10" with short dark hair.

The female suspect is described as white, early 20s, medium build, brown hair tied up in a bun and was believed to be wearing a long light-coloured cardigan.

It is believed that the suspects were picked up by a dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle shortly after the incident.
