Appeal for witnesses to suspected arson attack at Wakefield nightclub

After Dark nightclub, on Westgate, Wakefield, was badly damaged in the fire on the evening of Sunday, March 29.
More than 60 firefighters were called to the scene.
Operations director Rob Green said the building, which is Grade II Listed, had suffered thousands of pounds of damage in the blaze.

Hide AdWest Yorkshire Police have now confirmed they are treating the fire as a suspected arson attack and are appealing for witnesses.
It is believed the fire was started in a bin store behind the premises between 4pm and 5.15pm.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers were called at about 5.27pm on Sunday April 27 to a report of a fire at the After Dark nightclub on Westgate, Wakefield.
"Police and fire services attended the fire which took place between 4pm and 5.15pm in a bin store at the rear of the premises.
