Cannabis worth half-a-million pounds seized during residential raids
Half-a-million pounds' worth of cannabis has been discovered by police after a series of raids.
Acting on intelligence, the officers forced their way into three properties in the Upton area in the past week and locating a total of 427 plants.
They estimated they had a street value of around £500,000.
The busts took place on Clayton Avenue, Cross Street and School Street.
Since October 27, nine warrants have been executed in Upton which resulted in a total of 700 plants being seized, worth £750,000.
