Concern grows for missing Normanton man Colin George Thomas

Police are becoming concerned about the welfare of a missing Normanton man.

Colin George Thomas ,70, left his home, on Carlton Gardens, on Tuesday morning.

He then left to visit relatives in Selby.

Police said he is known to have left the Selby address at 1pm, but has not been seen since.

Mr Thomas is married and police said his disappearance is out of character.

Police have been searching in Normanton to try and find Mr Thomas.

He is about 6ft tall, has brown to white coloured hair and is of medium build.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a navy blue polo shirt with white on the sleeves.

And he was driving a maroon coloured Ford Fiesta car with the registration plate YA12 TVD.

Detective Inspector Viv Segerius-Allick of Wakefield Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Colin’s welfare as it is completely out of character for him to disappear like this.

“I would ask anyone who has seen him or has information about his whereabouts to contact Wakefield CID on 101 quoting reference number 1448 of August 5th.”
