Man attacked in Wakefield city centre bar

A man was knocked unconscious after being assaulted in a city centre bar.

And police have released these images of two men they want to trace in connection with the incident.

The victim had just walked out of the gents toilets in X-Bar on Westgate when he was waved towards two males.

He was then assaulted, knocked unconscious, dragged out of the fire escape and left there.

The incident happened sometime between 2am and 3am on Tuesday, 29 July.

PC Laura Robinson, of the Central neighbourhood police team (NPT), said: “The bar was busy at the time and so we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, including the two pictured to get in contact.”
