Man due in court in connection with armed operation in Wakefield
A man is due to appear in court on Wednesday morning in connection with a large scale police operation in Wakefield city centre on Monday.
A 29-year-old man has been charged with one count of harassment.
On Monday at 12.25pm a large scale police operation was mounted after reports that a man had been seen with a suspected firearm in Wakefield city centre.
At 2.48pm a man was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill. These related to an earlier alleged domestic incident. No firearm was recovered.
