Police appeal after theft of Adidas goods in Castleford

Boxes of sportswear and clothing were stolen when thieves raided a lorry in Castleford.

Police are appealing for witnesses after boxes of Adidas goods were taken from a lorry trailer on Freeway Drive in the town.

They said the theft happened between 11.30pm on Thursday and 7am yesterday (Friday).

Inspector Dave Bugg, of Normanton and Featherstone neighbourhood police team (NPT), said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident and would like to speak with anyone who has information or is offered potentially large quantities of sporting goods for sale in suspicious circumstances.

“Anyone who has information or perhaps knows where these items may be stored should contact Normanton and Featherstone NPT on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111, referencing police crime number 13140 230242.”
