In her report on the incident, Coun Cummings said CCTV operators alerted police after the fight broke out and shortly afterwards a male allegedly "knocked another male unconscious and quickly did the same to a second male".

She added: "The second attack was especially bad as the victim was not aggressive and appeared to be trying to calm things down.

"He was punched even after he was knocked to the floor and didn’t regain consciousness prior to going to hospital.

"Operators dealt with this calmly and tracked the suspect as he walked away and also showed the casualties to police as they laid unconscious."
