Cutsyke Raiders bounced back from their midweek loss to Fryston in the Castleford & Featherstone ARL David Poulter Open Cup final when they entertained the British Army Royal Artillery in the annual Craig Hopson Memorial Match and won 26-24.

A Cutsyke Raiders select side, made up of current and past players, took on a fit, physical and big Army team.

Cutsyke’s try scorers were Andy Gray, who crossed twice, Aaron Duncan, veteran Matty Willis and Simon Pye who crashed over for the winning try. Aaron Henry landed three attempts at goal.

Danny Holmes won the MOM award. Gary Lumb and Paul Watson also impressed.
