Delays on M1 after three-vehicle accident

Motorists face delays on the M1 motorway this morning following an accident involving three vehicles.

A lane is closed on the entry slip road and there is stop-start traffic on the northbound stretch of the motorway between J39 A636 (Wakefield) and J41, A650 (Carrgate).

The vehicles involved were a black Renault panel van, a grey Audi A4 and a white Fiat Doblo.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said there were no injuries, but damage to the vehicles and the motorway barrier.
