‘Despair’ at moral state

I DESPAIR at the moral state of our country!

Now correct me if I’m wrong, but a salary, wage, call it what you will, is an implicit contract for you to do a job to the best of your ability.

So how come bankers, managers, professionals, by and large the professional community, expect a bonus for doing their job?

Make no mistake the bonus culture at the root of the problems of this country. You get paid a wage to do a job, just do it, and if you bank managers don’t like it, go on find a gravy train elsewhere.

Nurses don’t get a bonus, teachers don’t get a bonus, bin men don’t get a bonus, sewerage workers don’t get a bonus, yet these people contribute more to our society than the RBS CEO who sadly has to take less than half his expected bonus of £2 million.

Crazy or what! The government need to understand the anger that is brewing.
