Do you know a champion child?
Every year we ask readers to nominate children who have shown true courage in the face of illness, bravery in times of danger or difficulty, put others before themselves or gone out of their way with an act of kindness.
All of the children put forward for an award are winners in our eyes. They will be invited, along with members of their family, to attend a glittering awards ceremony at Theatre Royal Wakefield on Friday December 9, which will be followed by a buffet lunch and a performance of the theatre’s Christmas pantomime Aladdin.

All you have to do is send a letter explaining what makes your nominated child a champion.
Include your name, address and daytime telephone number and contact details for the child’s family if they are different.
Send your nomination to Rebecca Whittington by emailing [email protected] or by writing to Express Champion Children, 1 Front Street, Pontefract, WF8 1BL.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to celebrate the courage that some youngsters show in face of really challenging situations and the good that others do in our communities.
