A fire caused the roof of a house to collapse in Pontefract in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were summoned to St Oswald Avenue to tackle the blaze at around 1.20am today.
The fire involved the attic of one house which spread to a neighbouring property’s roof and caused it to partially collapse.
West Yorkshire Fire Service said its crews from Pontefract and Featherstone, and an aerial appliance from Wakefield, were called to the scene.
Firefighters used a hose reel and four breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control.
