It is the end of an era for a Castleford GP surgery after two of its doctors announced their retirement.
Husband and wife Neil and Janet McClintock started working at Henry Moore Clinic, on Smawthorne Lane, in 1979.
They left the surgery for the final time on Friday after more than 34 years service each.
Mrs McClintock, 62, said: “We have got some great memories from this clinic.
“There are patients here who we treated when we first started.”
Mr McClintock, 61, was doctor for Castleford Tigers for eight years and he joined them at Wembley for their Challenge Cup victory in 1986.
His father also worked as a doctor at the surgery from 1948.
Mr McClintock said: “This surgery has been in the family for years.
“The surgery was the first building in Castleford to include Henry Moore’s name.”
Mr McClintock enjoys golfing and the couple now hope to spend more time with their family.
Mrs McClintock said: “I just want to do as little as possible.
“It’ll just be nice to be able to do things spontaneously too. “
The couple thanked their colleagues and patients.
Mr McClintock added: “We will miss the patients and wonderful staff that work at the clinic.”
