Wakefield residents urged to apply for funding for home insulation scheme

'‹The country may be enjoying one of the hottest summers on record but Wakefield Council is encouraging people to get ready for the winter months '“ by applying for funding for home insulation so that work can be carried out before the cold weather kicks in.

​The BeWarm Wakefield scheme has grants available for qualifying households, to help them cover the costs of installing loft and cavity wall insulation.

No waiting list for GP surgeries in district, say health bossesPeople are being urged find out more about the scheme as soon as possible, as teams of specialist workers are on stand-by and are available over the summer to carry out the work.

The scheme is part of the council’s drive to help residents save energy and money, and reduce fuel poverty.

The insulation work will be delivered by the council’s approved Better Homes Yorkshire insulation partner, A&M Energy Solutions.

Eligibility for a full grant is dependent on personal circumstances and is subject to survey.
