Wakefield Trinity ban two fans for life over smoke bomb incident at Castleford Tigers derby

Wakefield Trinity have issued lifetime bans to two supporters following an incident at the club's away match at Castleford Tigers.

The club put out an appeal earlier the week to identify the culprits.

In a statement the club said: "Following the photos published earlier in the week, Wakefield Trinity have issued two lifetime bans to two men regarding the issue of smoke bombs and general anti-social behaviour.

"The third person in the photos, Mr Tom Roche, has visited the Club and has helped with the ongoing enquiries. Mr Roche has been extremely helpful and his reputation is not in any way tarnished by the events of last week.

"Wakefield Trinity would like to reiterate that the Club have a ZERO tolerance policy when it comes to smoke bombs and anti-social behaviour and anyone caught will be handed a life ban from attending any games. These people are not welcome at our Club in any way, shape or form."

Friday night's derby resulted in a 32-15 win for the Tigers
