Fans support Tigers star’s twin babies

Ten-week-old Noah and Oliver Jewitt, who were born 14-weeks prematurely, have undergone a number of blood transfusions and remain in a critical condition at a hospital in Liverpool.

A bucket collection for two charities chosen by Mr Jewitt and his wife was held at the club’s home game against Warrington Wolves last Thursday.

Fans from both clubs raised a staggering £2,529.12, which will be shared between rapid response motorcycle based charity Blood Bikers and the Liverpool Women’s Charity.

Blood Bikers delivers blood and urgent medical supplies to hospitals and Liverpool Women’s Charity fundraises on behalf of the NHS Trust to enhance the level of care for patients.

The couple said they were grateful for the amazing charity and voluntary work that had taken place in the various hospitals they had stayed in.

Mr Jewitt and his wife, who also have a son, Oscar, and a daughter, Isobella, wanted to fundraise for the charities to thank them for their support.

Mr Jewitt said: “Every day brings new challenges and we still ask if we could remain in your prayers.

“We have said before how amazing the Cas fans have been. It is truly unbelievable and we take so much comfort from your support.”

Mr Jewitt also thanked the Warrington Wolves fans for contributing to the fundraising on the night.
