Fire crews tackle care home flood
Flood water had to be cleared from a care home last night (Monday).
Fire crews from Wakefield were called to Hemsworth Park Care Home, Wakefield Road, Kinsley, at around 8.50pm.
It’s thought that a burst water pipe had caused the problem and a West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said that a “good few inches” of water had to be cleared.
A specialist salvage unit was used to remove the water and crews left at around 11pm.
