Firefighters called after youths set wheelie bins alight
Firefighters tackled a wheelie bin blaze in South Kirkby last night (Friday).
Crews from South Kirkby were called to Bell Lane at around 11pm.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said it’s thought youths had stolen the wheelie bins, taken them to park land off Barnsley Road and set them alight.
A member of the public alerted the fire service to the blaze and firefighters used hose reels at the scene.
Police have been notified.
