Firefighters called to house fire in Ackworth
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Low Ackworth yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Crews from Featherstone and Hemsworth were called to a property on Townend Avenue at around 1pm after reports of smoke being seen in the house.
A fire service spokeswoman said firefighters removed slates from the roof of the property and put the fire out.
No-one was injured in the incident.
