ELECTRIFYING performances by actors from The Flying Theatre Company entertained and educated pupils from Pontefract’s King’s and Carleton Community High Schools this week.
Students gathered together on Monday to watch the touring theatre company’s performance of Vive La France.
The play was performed in French and students from years seven, eight and nine enjoyed a variety of theatrical delights, including mime, circus skills and special effects.
Sally Curran, modern foreign languages’ teacher at King’s School, said: “This has certainly provided a positive start to the students’ language learning journey this year and we are confident it will raise the profile of modern foreign languages.
“We hoped the show would leave a lasting impression on the students, motivating them to explore other cultures and stimulate their interest in learning another language and it did not disappoint.”
