Former Frickley Athletic footballer Jake Quickenden joins I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here

The 26-year-old, who also starred in this year’s X Factor, entered the jungle with former Conservative MP Edwina Currie last night.

Jake, who played for Frickley in 2012, said: “Things like this don’t happen to me. I am just a normal bloke.

“I am going to take this opportunity with both hands. I want to relish everything that is thrown at me. I actually haven’t stopped grinning since I got offered this.”
