Music, food and drink are also on the card for the event as is an appearance from the SWT COPS, a group of enthusiasts who have American police vehicles and equipment and have appeared on TV.

Police mascots Detective Duck, PC Lockup and PCSO Staysafe will also be on hand to engage with children.

Alongside the fun, those attending will also be able to speak with their local officers about issues of note and get the latest crime prevention advice.

PC Raif Kurtovic of Wakefield Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Events such as these are a fantastic way for local officers to meet informally with our residents, and we’d heartily encourage families to come down see us and enjoy themselves.
