Gang of five assault two men in unprovoked attack
Police said a 31-year-old man and his cousin, 20, left the Thorntree Inn pub on Queen Street, Ossett, at around 12.50am on Sunday.
The men were walking home when they were attacked from behind by five men.

Hide AdThe 31-year-old man, who asked not to be named, said: “I was pushed to the ground and they were punching and kicking me in the head.
“The same was happening to my cousin. They came out of nowhere and it was completely unprovoked.”
The men fought off the attackers and ran towards a nearby taxi rank, where they called the police.
They suffered cuts and bruises and the 20-year-old was taken to hospital for stitches in his eyebrow.
Police said the five men are white and in their mid 20s.
