More than 40 stalls selling a range of goods will be on show at the fair at King’s Croft Hotel, Wakefield Road, Pontefract on Sunday.

Pat Rhodes, who organised the fair, said: “We raised a fantastic amount last year, more than the year before.

“I would really like to do even better this year especially after the floods we had, and to really celebrate the fact the hospice has been a part of this community.”

Last year the event raised more than £1,800 for the hospice.

The fair will take place between 10am and 4pm and there is £1 entry charge per person, which will include a prize draw ticket for a raffle on the day.

The hospice launched its Light up a Life campaign this week, in partnership with the Express, where relatives can remember loved ones by sponsoring a light in the Halfpenny Lane gardens.
