The show will also feature a relic from the theatre group’s first production of JM Barrie’s classic tale in 1993 - a huge crocodile.

Producer and director Paul Haley said: “This is the fourth time we will have presented Peter Pan at the Theatre Royal. It’s six years since we last did it. It’s very magical, we have children flying about the stage and out of the nursery window.

“I actually bought the giant crocodile from the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield for our first production in 1993. We still had it for the second performance in 1997 but we ran out of storage space and lent it to a dance company.

“Its body is about 10ft long and its tail is about 12ft long.”

Tickets cost £15 and £13 plus concessions. Ring the box office on 01924 211 311 for more details.
