Hay barn fire at farm
A 20m high bale of hay stacked in a barn caught fire during the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Featherstone, Castleford, Pontefract and South Kirkby were called to farm just off Doncaster Road, in Upton at around 12.25am.
A fire service spokesman said the blaze spread to another barn and farming machinery had to be moved to prevent further damage.
He said nobody was injured in the incident.
Fire crews are now investigating the cause of the blaze.
